Pay With A Tweet Case Study

Have you heard about Pay With A Tweet? If not, here’s a nice case study about the social payment system created by Leif Abraham and Christian Behrendt, the creative team behind Innovative Thunder.

Leif and Chris wrote a book in 2010 called Oh My God What Happened And What Should I Do?, a marketing guide for traditional ad people on how to move into the digital era of awesomeness. Since no one really knew who they were or how to find the book, they came up with the idea of promoting the book by giving the digital version for free in exchange for a tweet, which gave birth to ‘Pay With A Tweet’, the first social payment system where people pay with the value of their social network. To date, there are more than 10,000 Pay With A Tweet buttons created which has led to more than 400,000 people paying for something with a tweet.
