You can file this under one of those ‘Why-didn’t-I-think-of-that’ moments. pH Creative, a young creative agency in Israel, is getting a lot of buzz from their recent Google+ campaign. Seeing the huge demand for Google+ invites, the agency heard of a workaround that allows those with Google+ accounts to invite people by simply tagging invitees in a photo. So the agency went out to create a simple image, used it as the invitation and tagged anyone in the marketing industry who emailed them requesting for a Google+ invite, taking advantage of the demand and promoting themselves in the process. If you want to know, the campaign was well received. Here’s the result:
Typos aside, I give this campaign a +1 and I believe this would be the first ever campaign run on Google+. Makes me more excited to know what Google’s plans for brands are.
